Consejos para aprender inglés desde casa / How to learn English from Home

Here’s some advice for you to keep developing your English skills while you’re at home

And remember you can use the recommended online exercises and apps in this website to learn in a fun way.

If you keep a record of everything you’re doing, I’ll give you points extra for your final mark. This is how you should do it:

Visit some of the websites recommended in English Practice online and find some exercises to practice different skills, then in a Google docs document write down:

  • Name of the website:
  • Type of exercise / skills practiced:
  • Level:
  • Name of the exercise:
  • What you’ve learnt (words, rules, interesting information, etc.):
  • Score (if applicable)

Example:

  • EXERCISE 1
  • Name of the website: ESL Lab (https://www.esl-lab.com)
  • Type of exercise / skills practiced: Listening
  • Name of the exercise: A Hiking Family
  • Level: Medium
  • What you’ve learnt (words, rules, interesting information, etc.):
    • Vocabulary: get together (reunirse), porch (porche), recall (recordar), “get ahead” = become successful in your business or career, “control/hold the purse strings” = control the money in a family
  • Score (if applicable): 80%

When you’ve completed at least five different exercises, share your Google Document with the teacher.

Topics for oral presentations

Remember to write a list of words related to the topic, including: ethical, stuff, produce, company, earn, fairtrade, certified product, free range, organic, business, label, clothing manufacturer,wages, demand, factory inspections, garment, accessory, catwalk, design, pre-loved clothes.
